Murrells Grand View House was built in 1889 for the Murrell family to provide accommodation for the first tourists to the Manapouri area.  We offer unique hosted accommodation in historic surroundings and a truly authentic bed and breakfast experience, with personal service and genuine New Zealand hospitality. The Murrell family were explorers, guides and tourism hosts in the early pioneering days of Fiordland.  The house has continued to be operated as accommodation since 1889 by the Murrell family and is the oldest of its kind in New Zealand.
